The Nanyue King Museum
When passing by the Nanyue King Museum on the way to Beijing Road, I took the opportunity to visit. The museum is located at No. 374 Beijing Road, Guangzhou City, and is a large archaeological site museum based on the important archaeological site of the Nanyue Kingdom, classified as a national first-level museum. It mainly consists of four parts: the Nanyue Royal Garden Museum, the Southern Han Palace Museum, the Exhibition Building, and the Ancient Well Museum!
Due to spending a longer time listening to the guide's explanation at the Well Museum, I just skimmed through the other museums.
The museum displays relics and artifacts from the royal garden of the Nanyue Kingdom 2000 years ago, allowing visitors to admire precious unearthed cultural relics and experience historical information firsthand at the archaeological site.

Zhongshan of a Thousand Chariots
Auspicious Dragon: Prelude to Spring, Chapter Four
Zhongshan of a Thousand Chariots—The Exhibition of Fine Cultural Relics from the Ancient Zhongshan State
🐬When speaking of the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods, the states that come to mind are Qin, Chu, Qi, Han, Wei, and Zhao. The presence of Zhongshan State is not as prominent, but as a small state, it had the capital to compete with the surrounding major states. It was destroyed and then revived, showing great resilience and enduring for over two hundred years, earning the title of 'a thousand chariots'.
🐬A 'chariot' was a unit under the Zhou dynasty system, symbolizing national strength. A minor feudal state had a thousand chariots, while a major one had ten thousand. Four horses pulling one chariot counted as one chariot, with three armored soldiers on the chariot and 72 infantrymen plus 25 logistical support staff on the ground, totaling a hundred people. Possessing a thousand chariots meant having an army of at least 100,000.
🐬The minority ethnic group, the Bai Di, established the Zhongshan State, which was located between Yan and Zhao. It fought against the Jin State for a long time and was later destroyed by the Wei State. Afterwards, Duke Huan of Zhongshan restored the state, at one point boasting 9,000 chariots and a powerful national strength. Ultimately, the Zhao State breached its capital, Lingshou, leading to the demise of Zhongshan State.
🐬Zhongshan State was located in what is now Hebei Province. Typical cultural relics unearthed include the mountain-shaped bronze ware, which is unique to it, arranged in front of tents on wooden pillars, symbolizing the king's authority

Travelogue of the Museum of the Nanyue King
The Western Han Nanyue King's Mausoleum Museum, discovered in 1983, is the tomb of Zhao Mo, the second-generation king of the Nanyue Kingdom. It is the largest and only Han Dynasty painted stone chamber tomb found in the Lingnan region.
Over ten thousand relics were unearthed from the tomb, including the 'Wen Di Xing Xi' gold seal, jade horn cups, gold-inscribed tiger tally, printed bronze plate molds, and flat glass copper decorations, all of which have significant historical, scientific, and artistic value. They collectively reflect the political, economic, and cultural aspects of Lingnan from two thousand years ago.
The tomb of the Nanyue King is one of the major archaeological discoveries of the 1980s in China and was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit in 1996.
In 2004, it was selected as a national AAAA-level scenic spot, and in 2008, it was rated as a 'National First-Class Museum'.
The 'Relics of the Nanyue Kingdom' and the 'Maritime Silk Road' were included in China's tentative list for World Cultural Heritage.
The Western Han Nanyue King's Mausoleum Museum, which officially opened to the public in 1988, has a building area of over 17,400 square meters and mainly displays the original site of the Nanyue King's tomb and the relics unearthed from it.
Centered around the ancient tomb and built against the mountain, the museum organically connects different sequential spaces such as the comprehensive exhibition building, the ancient tomb protection area, and the main exhibition building, highlighting the group style of the site museum. It is a splendid representative of modern Lingnan architecture and has won six domestic and international architectural awards.
The museum also features a special exhibition of ceramic pillows donated by Yang Yongde and his wife, as well as temporary exhibitions that are held from time to time.
The museum currently holds more than 400 ceramic pillows, ranging from the Tang Dynasty to the Republic of China, with the majority from the Song and Jin Dynasties. The quantity, quality, and variety of kiln origins of these pillows are rare among similar collections in China.

Guangzhou Travel Guide! You must take advice
Guangzhou has many attractions, and the subway is particularly crowded, it's really tiring to come and go! If your play time is not long, and you want to slow down and enjoy the trip, you must remember this guide‼️‼️‼️
⭕️Day1: In the afternoon, we went to the vicinity of the Guangzhou Tower after putting our luggage in the hotel. We first went to eat at Dian Dou De (Huacheng Store). Two of us ordered eight dishes, which was too much and we couldn't finish it. Dian Dou De's golden belly and custard buns are delicious. After dinner, we went to the Guangzhou Tower, which is just one subway stop away. The Guangzhou Tower Line 3 is very crowded, babies must be prepared to go to the Guangzhou Tower at night‼️‼️‼️ The gradual change of lights is super beautiful! Hai Xin Bridge is next to the Guangzhou Tower, like a crescent moon hanging on the river, very suitable for taking pictures, pants out of the picture!
⭕️Day2: In the afternoon, we went to Chen Clan Ancestral Hall and Nanyue King Museum, and went to Guangzhou No.1 Stadium to watch Tizzy T's concert in the evening. Chen Clan Ancestral Hall is a treasure of Lingnan culture. The gorgeous carved architecture and bright color matching are really visually impactful. Babies from other provinces must not miss this scenic spot with Lingnan characteristics! The Nanyue King Museum is divided into two exhibition areas, the palace and the tomb, both of which need to be booked in advance. The tomb exhibition area has more exhibits and you can visit the original site. I recommend everyone to go! Ah ah next is the highlight of my Guangzhou trip!! I went to see Tizzy T, a child I liked in 17 years. Tizzy T was so burning on the spot!!! I want to listen to him sing for a lifetime!
⭕Day3: On the third day, we went to Beijing Road, Shamian Island, and Yongqingfang. These attractions are very close, and you can finish playing in the afternoon➕evening. Beijing Road is a pedestrian street, very similar to Chengdu Chunxi Road, Chongqing Jiefangbei; Shamian Island is a river island, the arcade buildings inside are very characteristic; Yongqingfang's Moon Bridge is very beautiful at night, the lights are dim, quiet and detailed. You can City walk, take photos and check in, taste food.. It's a good place for couples to date and sisters to go shopping.
⭕️Day4: On the fourth day, we took the high-speed train to Shenzhen! From Guangzhou South to Shenzhen North, it only takes more than 30 minutes! Shenzhen is a city very suitable for Citywalk, any street is very out of the picture!! Because we only had one day, we chose Shenzhen Bay and Happy Harbor. There are many seagulls in Shenzhen Bay, you can buy bait to feed, and the photos are very out of the picture. Take the subway to Shenzhen Bay, you must exit from Exit D, the escalator directly connects to the seaside. It's best to go to the seaside on a sunny day. Unfortunately, it was cloudy the day I went, and the weather was not good. Happy Harbor is suitable for going at night. If you want to ride the Ferris wheel, you need to book one day in advance. On the Ferris wheel, you can see the bustling night view of Shenzhen, and of course you have also become the unreachable beauty in the eyes of people looking up at the Ferris wheel.

This tomb is the tomb of the second generation of Wang Zhaoxuan in the Western Han Dynasty. Emperor Zhao of the Zhao Emperor is the grandson of the first generation of the Southern Chao Kingdom of the Qin Dynasty. Speaking of Zhao Wei and his grandfather Zhao Wei, the story and the mystery can be much more.
